About

What is Amazon CloudFront?

Amazon CloudFront is the content delivery network of Amazon Web Services. It caches sites and APIs at Amazon's edge locations, often in front of an S3 bucket, a load balancer or an API on AWS.

CloudFront runs on Amazon's network, so the address alone only shows AWS. The cloudfront.net CNAME and the x-amz-cf-id header show CloudFront itself.
